The Connections preferences screen lets you control how Internet Owl connects to the websites it's monitoring.
Number Threads
This controls how many web pages are checked simultaneously.
If you have a fast internet connection, you can set this number higher.
Thread Priority
This controls the priority of Internet Owl with respect to other programs.
Connect Timeout
This is how long the program waits for a connection to a website before giving up.
Retry Count
This is how many attempts at connecting to a website are made before marking it as unreachable.
User Agent String
Each web browser identifies itself to a web server using a characteristic signature called a "user agent".
This allows you to change the apparent type of web browser you are.
